Im concerned with the digital as a psychic space for healing the collective unconscious and w the power of what came before but was simply at the root of every painting—— something that is part of the body of the canvas—— the underpainting… so how does that translate to the screen? and how am I always already an index of time and space… as a body in time and space…
(I will however be painting these very large with paints, not necessarily always on canvas)… and ———

these paintings are made from images found on the dark web and with a hacked version of Photoshop that glitches. its a difficult platform to work from. this work has lived in different forms, but I think my favorite is : painted on a very large glass panel w a dimmer light behind it, which allows the work to act as a screen would when you dim or light it….
